Superior Spider-Man

I have read worse. There is a lot of people on the "internets" belly aching and spreading their hatred for this new take on Peter Parker/Spider-man/SpOck/etc. I personally haven't had much to complain about thus far. Yes, one of the most vile of villains is currently in control of Peter's body and memories, but this is as everyone knows is a temporary thing. From issue #1 Peter's spirit was shown to be "alive and well." Peter will find a way to take control of his body. It is inevitable. Most likely by mid summer, if not certainly before the Amazing Spider-Man 2 film is released. I believe it will be much sooner. I was recently looking at interior art previews of the Age of Ultron #1 and came across this image.

Someone is back to wearing blue. On my account on ComicVine I posted this is a thread and it has been discussed to a point. Some believe that this is a slight error in coloring, or set before Superior Spider-man, Blah Blah Blah. This is a furnished page, and Marvel would not allow for this to be colored incorrectly or have the missing split boot if they were truly trying to make SpOck the new status quo. Regardless we will see soon enough but my bet is that Peter will have full control of his body by June 2013.

Anyways back to the books. SSM has not been that bad of a book so far. I have just read #3 and I was quite impressed actually. We get to see a more human side of Ock and that he does have actual feelings towards others. He is sympathetic of the Vulture, and attempts to help him before trying to kill him after Ock realizes that Vulture is using children to do his bidding. This hits home with Ock as he was abused by his father when he was young. Slott is doing an excellent job with the story development and I am looking more forward to this story with each issue I read. The art is starting to grow on me and there is a few panels in book #3 that I thought were stunning. Charlie is likeable and intelligently writing which is a big bonus as she has been quite annoying in past issues of ASM. The character development is very good across the bored with all characters and I really like the Peters ghost aspect of the story. He is basically saying what anyone reading the book is thinking and I really enjoyed his part in Ock's memories. This could lead to some interesting interactions between the two. Peter wondered if he could alter one of Ock's memories after being pulled into the memory of Otto's father beating him. The book is progressing well since book #1, which was my least favorite thus far. The books are well balanced and interesting. People should give SSM more of a chance. Good forbid a comic book try anything new. Plus this is Leaps and BOUNDS better than Marvel Now!'s Iron Man thus far.

Marvel Now!

Hello all,

Welcome to my blog. This blog will be dedicated to my thoughts and opinions on all of our Marvel Superheroes, I do not really read DC so there will likely be very little information regarding these characters. I have been following Death in the Family story line and it has been pretty good but for the most part not a big DC fan. Thanks for reading in advance.
